What is the Self-Reflection Tool?

PULSE-ART SELF-REFLECTION TOOL

The Self-Reflection Tool (SRT) is a questionnaire designed to help educators and learners reflect on their development in relation to Cultural Awareness and Expression (CAE). It supports users in identifying their strengths, areas for improvement and next steps in relation to the PULSE-ART Competence Framework.

The tool is not designed as a formal examination or certification mechanism, but as a structured space for reflection and learning.

Two complementary pathways

The SRT includes two complementary pathways:

Educator pathway

Connected to the Professional Development Programme and the five Educator Competence clusters (E1-E5).

Learner pathway

Connected to the Case Study Methodology and the four Learner Competence clusters (L1-L4).

For each competence cluster, the tool includes questions related to knowledge, skills and attitudes. The results are compiled through a scoring system that helps users understand their current level of competence development.

When to use it

The SRT can be used independently from the PULSE-ART Toolkit, but it is especially recommended for educators:

Before and after attending the Professional Development Programme, to reflect on the development of Educator Competences across the different modules.

To monitor learners' progress in relation to the Learner Competence clusters.

Following the PULSE-ART Methodology, as part of the broader use of the PULSE-ART Toolkit.

The tool can be used before, during and after learning activities to document evidence, reflect on progress and track competence development.
